Khurram Manzoor makes remarks about Kohli

Pakistan player Khurram Manzoor made remarks about Virat Kohli that his List A conversation is much better than him, but Kohli has taken away the record from Manzoor. Manzoor has played just 16 Test matches, 7 One-day internationals matches for Pakistan, and also featured in 172 first-class matches.

Virat Kohli is one of the best batters that world cricket has produced. He is currently 46 One-day international centuries and just 4 hundred away from breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Kohli has scored 74 hundred including Tests, ODIs, and T20I format.

“I am not comparing myself with Virat Kohli. The fact is, in 50-overs cricket, whoever is there in the top 10, I am the world no.1, one after I stand Kohli. My conversion rate in List A cricket is better than his,” Khurram said on the YouTube channel of Nadir Ali.

King Kohli finished as the leading run-getter in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022. Khurram Manzoor scored 296 runs and helped Team India qualify for the semi-finals where they eventually lost to England by 10 wickets.

“It’s funny how some media outlets and individuals have taken my interview out of context and twisted my words. Virat Kohli is a generational player and I have always admired him as the best,” Manzoor tweeted.

King Kohli looked in sensational form during the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He made 113 runs in the first ODI and then produced magical innings of 166 runs not out in the 3rd ODI. Kohli has been the backbone of the Indian batting line-up in each format.

He scored his maiden T20I century against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup match played at Dubai International Stadium.

“I talked about this stat in List A Cricket about having best innings per hundred ratios where I am topping the chart and Kohli is on second. There is no comparison between me and him, he has played more games, and that too mostly on the international level,” Manzoor added.

Virat Kohli would be looking to regain his Test form when India will take on Australia in 4 match Test series to be played in India starting from 9th Feb. King loves to score against the Aussies and would be looking to make big scores to help Team India qualify for the ICC 2021/23 Test Championship finals to be played later this year.
