“Pat Cummins Would Be The Toughest Bowler To Face In Cricket Currently” – Chesteshwar Pujara

Cheteshwar Pujara of India has been named the toughest bowler to face in the sport right now. Pujara took on some of the more amusing questions during the recent Q&A session and answered a variety of them. In his responses, he provided some quite entertaining and insightful responses.

Pujara has been a pillar of the Indian Test team for more than a decade, and his performances have earned him the title of red-ball specialist. During the interview, the right-hander was named the toughest bowler to face among the current crop.

“Pat Cummins would be the toughest bowler to face in cricket currently,” told Pujara while speaking to ESPNCricinfo in the special 25 questions segment.

The Australia red-ball captain is currently atop the Test bowling rankings, with 878 points to his name. Interestingly, Cummins, who has established himself as a lethal pacer, has dismissed Pujara seven times in 17 innings in the longest format.

The veteran batsman reached another glorious milestone in first-class cricket when he scored 12000 runs on Indian soil. Pujara achieved the feat while playing for Saurashtra in the second innings of their Ranji Trophy match against Andhra on Friday. In addition, he passed the 12000-run mark in his 145th First Class match.

The right-hander scored 91 runs for Saurashtra in an attempt to keep their hopes alive against the rival team. However, that was not to be, as his team eventually lost by 150 runs. He will next appear for the team against Tamil Nadu before joining the Indian Test squad for the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, which begins on February 9.

The two heavyweights will square off in a four-match Test series beginning on February 9 in the hopes of securing a spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 finale.
