One of the fiercest players in cricket is Gautam Gambhir. When the game is in progress, the coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders is always engaged and in a serious mood. The former cricket player from India has drawn criticism from some fans for not even grinning.
With 19 points and a spot at the top of the IPL standings, Gambhir’s return to KKR has been nothing short of extraordinary. His homecoming has had a profound impact on the entire squad, making them the first to qualify.
“I don’t see how I can please everyone in this country, and I don’t even intend to please everyone. I don’t even want everyone to know the kind of person I am. For me, people who matter to me should know the kind of person I am, the kind of thoughts I have, what kind of human being I am, whether I’m emotional, whether sometimes I’m restless, but that’s the kind of person I am,” Gautam Gambhir said.
“And so, I have never thought about what people are saying about me. Or that misconception or perception. It’s up to them. They can talk whatever they want to; unless you don’t know me, you should not. If I don’t know someone, I’d never make a perception about someone,, so they have all the right to do whatever they want,” Gambhir told Ashwin on his YouTube chat show ‘Kutti Stories with Ash’.

The mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gautam Gambhir, revealed his dislike of smiling during games. The former cricket player for India stated that supporters come to see him win the games, not to see him grin.
“Sometimes when people talk about – I don’t smile. I don’t love it. He’s always intense. He’s always grumpy. I’m always walking on the edge. He always has his game face on. People don’t come to watch me smile. Unfortunately, people come to watch me win. That’s the kind of profession we guys are in. I can’t help it,” Gambhir said.
Because to Gambhir’s intelligence and genius, KKR has been able to recover from its losses and gain a deeper understanding of its low points, which has allowed it to consistently bounce back.
KKR will finally play Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 1 on Tuesday, May 21, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, even though their previous two games were cancelled.
