Pragyan Ojha has picked the bowling combination of team India that will be hard to get away on the SCG track. The former Indian spinner has closely followed ongoing India and Australia Test series. Now after the series is level after 2 Tests, Ojha reckons that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will be key with the ball in the next Test.

Ojha estimates that the pitch at SCG will again assist the spinners and Ashwin, Jadeja will play a key role in the Test. He also added that both Ashwin and Jadeja should again play in the side much as they did at MCG. In the second Test, Jadeja made a comeback in the side and he contributed with both bat and ball.

Pragyan Ojha thinks the duo of Ashwin and Jadeja will be key for India

On the other hand, Ashwin is probably at the top of his game right now and has spun a web around the Australian batsmen. Ojha also recalled the partnership of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble who did extremely well in Sydney. The former cricketer wants Ashwin and Jadeja to emulate their performance and help team India get a 2-1 in the series.

“Sydney has a track record of helping the spinners. I’m very sure that we shouldn’t change the combination of Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja”, Pragyan Ojha told Sports Today.

“The way Jadeja batted [in Melbourne] and with Ashwin, we know he can bat. These guys have also been phenomenal with the bowling. If one guy bowls tight, the other one picks up the wicket and vice-versa. So, I think, this partnership is brilliant and if they continue it overseas, that will be superb”, he added.

“We have seen Anil Bhai [Anil Kumble] and Bhajju Paa [Harbhajan Singh] doing that for us in the past. Now, these two guys in overseas. I think, there is nothing more to ask for,” Pragyan Ojha further said.

Meanwhile, both Ashwin and Jadeja are certain to play the Test at Sydney which begin from January 7. Team India under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane will be keen to continue their winning momentum and again outplay Australia.
