The cricketer from Mumbai has looked in perfect shape ahead of the tournament. He will be an integral part of the line-up as Delhi are looking to break the deadlock. They are among the only few teams, who are yet to lift the prestigious trophy.

Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw last feature during India’s Test series against New Zealand earlier this year. He was due to open the innings in the one-dayers against South Africa. However, BCCI had to cancel the tournament in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The right-handed batsman had first joined Delhi Capitals in 2018 and is set for his third year with the Shreyas Iyer-led franchise. So far, he has amassed 598 runs in 25 matches and will be aiming to make in the upcoming IPL starting September 19 in the UAE.

Delhi Capitals will begin their IPL 2020 campaign against Kings XI Punjab on September 20 (Sunday) at the Dubai International Stadium.
