Bangladesh U19 team derailed India in the ICC U19 World Cup final by three wickets to lift their maiden title at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. Meanwhile, the Under-19 World Cup final ended on a controversial note with players of the two teams seen engaging in a heated exchange of words and even some pushing and shoving on the field, leaving a Bangladeshi flag damaged in the process. This followed after several moments of tension between the players during the match. 

Batting first, Yashasvi Jaiswal played another gem of the knock to lead India's batting. Despite losing Divyansh Saxena early in the day, Jaiswal and Tilak Verma 94 runs for the second wicket which was the only notable partnership in favour of India. Once Verma went back, Bangladesh bowlers ran down India's batting order to bowl them out for a mere 177 runs. The left-handed opener Jaiswal, who eventually won the man of the series award, was the highest scorer with 88 runs. 

Bangladesh staged the run-chase to perfection adding 50 runs for the first wicket before leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi picked four quick wickets to have the opposition at 65 for four. But skipper Akbar Ali played a gritty knock of 43 runs from 77 deliveries before the rain started pouring in Potchefstroom. Eventually, Bangladesh won the match via Duckworth Lewis method to win their maiden ICC title. Meanwhile, what followed between players of both the sides was not worthy and India skipper Priyam Garg had a strong reaction to it. 

"We were easy. We think it's part and parcel of the game – you win some and you lose some," he said. "But their reaction was dirty. I think it shouldn't have happened. But it's okay," he added. 

Meanwhile, the detailed reports are yet to come as the International Cricket Council are looking at the turn of events seriously.
