PSL 2021: Faf du Plessis Taken To Hospital After Colliding With Mohammad Hasnain

Quetta Gladiators batter Faf du Plessis was taken to the hospital after colliding with teammate Mohammad Hasnain during their PSL 2021 game against Peshawar Zalmi at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The incident took place in the seventh over the first innings. David Miller came down the track, didn’t quite get to the pitch of the ball, but still drilled it back past the non-striker. Faf du Plessis moved across swiftly across from long-on as Miller drove, had the ball in his hands but then smashed his head against the knee of the fielder running across from long-off – both went at full throttle and this looks pretty bad for the Protean.

Peshawar Zalmi has managed to post a massive first innings total. Kamran Akmal and David Miller were the pioneers of setting such a target as they had a fantastic partnership for the third wicket. Both of them scored fifties and Rovman Powell gave the finishing touch to the innings with his cameo of 43*.

Quetta Gladiators bowled well in patches, but they struggled mainly due to the dew. Zahid Mahmood had an awful day as he conceded 53 runs in his three overs.
