As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is on the move, the Indian men’s cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid is relishing his off-field time. The former Indian cricketer was recently spotted at a book event in Bengaluru. Dravid again, awestruck the cricketing world with his ease and humble temperament.

A Twitter user identified as Kashy tweeted the whole incident. According to the thread, Dravid attended the event at a book store, where Indian cricketer Gundappa Viswanath was also present for a date regarding his new book named ‘Wrist Assured’.

Conferring to the Twitter user, people in the room didn’t even realize Dravid’s presence, as he had a mask on his face and was sitting in the back row; even the girl sitting next to him didn’t recognize the Indian veteran.

Kashy, the Twitter user wrote,“ He walked in alone with a mask on, greeted Ram Guha, which is when me and Sameer realized it was indeed Rahul Dravid, he happily sat in the last row without any fuss so much so that the girl sitting next to him didn’t even realize who she was sitting with.”

Rahul Dravid only caught the public eye when he was hailed by Gundappa Viswanath. Dravid later signed autographs and took some selfies with people out there. Praising Dravid’s humbleness,  Kashy, in another part of the thread, stated, “He said sorry when he couldn’t get his autograph right because people wouldn’t let him stand properly!”.

Kashy, who also got to take a selfie with Dravid, furthermore apprised that the India coach made sure that Viswanath continues to be an epicentre of emphasis. “He finally told people to talk to GRV instead of talking to him because it was an event to celebrate GRV! How can a person who has led the Indian cricket team to so many glories be so humble and down to earth,” the thread read.

The post went viral rapidly and Dravid’s actions won the hearts of many, again. Several praised and admired the 49-year-old’s simplicity.
