Before IPL 2020 began, everyone was curious regarding how will KL Rahul performs as a batsman with the added burden of captaincy. In his first match he got out cheaply but come the second match he showed his class yet again.

The KXIP skipper against RCB scored a record-breaking 132* from just 69 balls. On the back of Rahul’s brilliant knock KXIP ultimately wrapped the match by 97 runs. This was KXIP’s first win under the captaincy of Rahul in IPL 2020.

Meanwhile, social media exploded after witnessing Rahul’s iconic batting masterclass against his old franchise. Also, Punjab’ next opponents Rajasthan Royals congratulated century scorer Rahul with a hilarious tweet.

Here Is The What Rajasthan Royals Tweeted

“Hey @klrahul11, brilliant innings (and celebration). Think you deserve a rest next game”, the official Twitter account of Rajasthan Royals Tweeted.

The Royals understandably don’t want KL Rahul to play another match-winning knock against them in the next match. KXIP and RR will clash against each other on September 27 (Sunday) at Sharjah cricket stadium.

Moreover, Rahul after his century admitted that he was nervous before the match and wanted to lead from the front. Even in the nets ahead of the match, he wasn’t very confident but once he settled down he only focused on his batting.

“I have been not so confident hitting it this well. I had a chat with Glenn Maxwell yesterday, he said how are you feeling, I said that I am not feeling completely in control of my batting, he said you must be joking, you are hitting really well”, Rahul said at the post-match presentation.

Furthermore, Rahul broke the record of Rishabh Pant and registered the highest score by any Indian in IPL history. Now Rahul has also become the leading run-getter in IPL 2020 and currently holds the orange cap in the competition.
