IPL 2021: Match 7 – Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals – Match Prediction

After a couple of nerve-wracking encounters in IPL 2021, it’s time for the clash between young captains – Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant as Rajasthan Royals lock horns with Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 15 (Thursday). While Pant had a winning start to his captaincy stint, Sanju went down despite scoring a valiant century and will be desperate to take his team over the line this time around.

On the back of a defeat, Rajasthan Royals have been dealt with another massive blow with their star all-rounder Ben Stokes ruled out of the remaining IPL 2021 with a broken finger. He copped the injury while fielding during their opener against Punjab Kings. While the management is yet to announce a replacement for the same, it is likely that David Miller will make his way into the playing XI. Otherwise, the playing XI is likely to remain the same with Sanju Samson leading his troops from the front.

For Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant had a blistering start to his captaincy career beating his idol MS Dhoni. The openers – Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw fired for the Delhi in the opening tie and will be oozing with confidence. Meanwhile, the Capitals have also received a setback after Anrich Nortje was tested positive for COVID-19. On the other hand, Kagiso Rabada has started training and might feature in the playing XI and is likely to replace Tom Curran. Otherwise, the playing XI is expected to remain the same, and Delhi Capitals will look to keep their winning run going.
