Former Indian cricketer Akash Chopra has embedded his way as a prominent cricket expert over the years. After he retired from professional cricket, he made his debut in cricket broadcasting. Apart from his broadcast duties, he actively shares his views on social media platforms.

On Wednesday, Chopra shut down a fan with a reply that got the attention of the netizens. Chopra gave an update on his Twitter account about the changes that Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad had announced after the toss yesterday.

A fan asked a discourteous question to the expert on the microblogging site that dragged his father. Aakash Chopra gave a classy reply to that fan which also included a sarcastic notion. The cricketer-turned-commentator has been setting standard on social media and he once again proved who is the boss.

“Give a hug to your father from my side,” Aakash Chopra told the fan. “My father doesn’t play cricket. Give a hug to your father from my side. He might be feeling a little unhappy seeing the language his son has used. Good bless you,” Chopra replied to the fan.

He deleted the tweet later. Earlier, the former Indian batsman had written on Twitter, “Warner wins the toss and fields first. Pitch looks like one on the slower side…again. Holder plays for Nabi. Shahbaz for Sandeep. Chalo….tonight Shahbaz’s team will win for sure, ” Aakash Chopra wrote on Twitter.

Yesterday’s match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore was no less than a thriller. Being invited to pad up first, RCB did not sail with ease. But Glen Maxwell’s knock of 59 from 41 deliveries pushed them to the higher end. Bangalore set a target of 150 which was a challenging total on a Chepauk wicket.

SRH started on an optimistic note. Despite losing Wriddhiman Saha early, captain David Warner (54 off 37) and Manish Pandey (38 off 39) fairly erased the deficit to an extent. But the trouble began after Warner’s departure. The wickets perished quite early and the Orange Army lost the match by 6 runs. RCB are now topping the IPL 2021 points table after emerging victorious in two games.
