On the fourth day of Ranji Trophy matches, Kerala and Gujarat register big wins while Hyderabad and Haryana won in exciting matches.

Assam lost 3 wickets for the addition of 31 runs before being dismissed for 331. Chasing the target of 142 runs, Hyderabad were struggling at 69 for 5 before captain Rayadu played a captains knock of 52 not. Hyderabad won the match by 4 wickets.

On the fourth and final day, Karnataka started the day on 243 for 5. Uttar Pradesh was dismissed for 331. In their second innings, Karnataka openers Samarth and Mayank Agarwal scored centuries. With this draw, Karnataka moved to the top of the points table.

Gujarat continued their dominance over Rajasthan on the 2nd day. Panchal scored 152, BH Merai 110 and Parthiv Patel still not out on 119.

Haryana added 6 runs before being dismissed for 167. Chasing a target of 176, Jammu and Kashmir were dismissed for 157. Ajit Chahal picked 5 wickets for Haryana and was named a man of the match.

Kerala won their match by 309 runs against Saurashtra. Starting the day on 30 for 1, Kerala bowlers dismissed Sauhastra for 95.

Madhya Pradesh started the final day on 142 for 1. Harpreet Singh century and Dane 65 was enough to declare their innings on 351 for 4. Tamil Nadu was given a target of 290, they scored 75 for 1. TN got 3 points.

Odisha began their day on 316 for 5. They were dismissed for 445 with Senapati scoring 173. In reply, Baroda Waghmode and Deepak Hooda scored centuries.

Mumbai began the day on 190 for 4. They made quick-fire runs and declared their innings on 279 for 6. Chasing the target of 397, AP ended the innings on 219 for 5.

Vidarbha won their match against Goa. Goa started the last day on 19 for 2. Vidarbha bowlers dismissed Goa for 151 to register an innings win.

Group A 

Assam vs. Hyderabad ( Basara Stadium, Guwahati)

Assam started the day on 300 for 7. They added 31 runs before being dismissed for 331. Chasing target of 142, Hyderabad lost 5 wickets for 69 runs. Rayadu played captains knock by remaining not out on 52 and won the match by 4 wickets.

Hyderabad 326 in 90. 4 overs ( Rayadu 83, Sandeep 84, Bhandari 41, Arup Das 5/112, Rahul Singh 3/60) and 144 for 6 in 39 overs ( Rayadu 52*, Sumanth 32) beat  Assam 136 in 48. 5 overs ( Gokul Sharma 39, Muddasir 5/36) and 331 in 109 overs ( AS Sinha 128, RK Ahmed 75) by 4 wickets.

Karnataka vs. Uttar Pradesh ( Green Park Stadium, Kanpur)

Uttar Pradesh began the day on 243 for 5. Karnataka bowlers showed great control and dismissed UP for 331. In reply, both Mayank Agarwal and Samarth scored centuries before the match was called off.

Gujarat vs. Rajasthan ( Surat)

Rajasthan started the day on 183 for 4. Despite some great batting effort by Rajasthan, they were dismissed for 341. Gujarat won the match by an innings and 107 runs

Gujarat 601 for 4 d in 155 overs   ( Gohel 46, Panchal 152, Merai 110, Parthiv Patel 173, Juneja 83*) beat Rajasthan 153 in 50 overs ( Bishnoi 43*, Chintan Gaja 8/40) and 341 in 107.3 overs  ( R Bist 81, Lomror 60,  SA Desai 5/129) by an innings and 107 runs

Haryana vs. Jammu and Kashmir ( Lahli, Rohtak)

Haryana could only add 6 runs. Chasing the target of 176, Jammu and Kashmir were dismissed for 157.

Kerala vs. Saurashtra (Thiruvananthapuram)

Saurashtra began the final day on 30 for 1. Kerala bowlers dismissed Sauhastra for 95 runs. Kerala won the match by 309 runs.
