The Ranji Trophy 2022 season knockouts are all set to begin from June 6 across four venues in Bengaluru. Eight teams from different groups will battle in the tournament’s quarterfinals in the upcoming week.

With the Indian Premier League 2022 scheduled, the BCCI announced that the Ranji Trophy will be split into two phases. The first phase of the tournament took place from 17 February to 15 March 2022. This is time the first time that the Ranji Trophy will be held in the month of June.

Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Karnataka, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh topped their respective groups to directly qualify for the quarterfinals of the tournament. Meanwhile, Jharkhand became the eighth team to qualify after winning the pre-quarterfinal match. They took the first-innings lead against the Plate Group winners Nagaland.
