Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari stitched together an unbelievable and memorable partnership as India were able to register a historic draw at SCG. The two got together when team India desperately needed a partnership to avoid a loss in the third Test. The duo showed amazing resilience and heart and drew the Test match.
Both Ashwin and Vihari were battling injuries while batting but they never gave up and kept battling. Vihari early on in his innings pulled his hamstring while attempting to take a quick single. On the other hand, the seasoned Ashwin was dealing with back problems on day 5 of the SCG Test match.

Nevertheless, Ashwin and Vihari kept believing and only focused on one ball at a time under immense tension. The two heroes sat down after the conclusion of the Test match and recalled their match-saving partnership.

Meanwhile, Ashwin scored 39 runs from 128 balls and Vihari contributed with 23 runs from 161 balls. The order of the day was to consume as many deliveries as possible and take the game deep and annoy the Australian bowling attack. Team India courtesy off Ashwin and Vihari did exactly that as the Aussie bowlers got exhausted towards the end of the match. The Indian batted a total of 131 overs which has now become the most overs batted by an Asian team in Australia in the 4th innings.
Furthermore, team India once again proved that the raised there game when the pressure is high and no one gives them any chance. The visitors only lost 3 wickets in 98 overs on day 5 and secured a draw with one Test remaining in the series. The series is locked at 1-1 and the final Test will begin at Brisbane from January 15.
