Ahead of the start of the 2nd test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Indian team were seen indulging in a hitherto training drill which closely resembles a wrestling bout. On the other hand, India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who had missed the first Test owing to a concussion was one of the first players to arrive at the ground as he was put through a fitness test wherein he ran between the wickets with a bat in his hand.

The Indian side will be looking to bounce back in the second Test after a disastrous first test loss at the Adelaide Oval where the Indian side was bowled out for a mere 36 in the second innings which put Australia in a commanding position to seal off the test in their favour.

Ravindra Jadeja All Set To Be Included In India side for 2nd Test

During India’s net session it was noticed that both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant had a long hit in the nets ahead of the 2nd Test whereas Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara was seen playing long sessions against left-arm seamer T Natarajan.

Spearheads of the Indian team management Ravi Shastri, Vikram Rathour and Bharat Arun was seen having a long chat with skipper Ajinkya Rahane post the training session. It is expected that India will be making as many as four changes in the line up from the 1st test, two of which are forced as Mohammed Shami and Virat Kohli won’t be taking a part in the 2nd test.

Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj are expected to receive their maiden Test caps whereas Wridhhiman Saha will be making way for Rishabh Pant in the side. As per multiple reports, Hanuma Vihari is expected to bat at number four though it is also being said that KL Rahul can be asked to open in place of Prithvi Shaw. While Ravindra Jadeja will take up the number 7 slot in the batting order.
