Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have made history as the first IPL team to reach 20 million followers on Instagram. The milestone came just before their final league match of the IPL 2025 season against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, May 27.
RCB have enjoyed a strong season, securing a playoff spot with 17 points from eight wins in 13 matches, currently holding third place in the standings. To mark the occasion, the franchise shared a celebratory video on Instagram, expressing gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support.

RCB Eye Crucial Win To Finish In Top Two
RCB have already secured a spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs with 17 points. They will now take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their final league match on Tuesday, May 27, at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. After a recent loss to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), the Rajat Patidar-led side will look to bounce back with a win to build momentum heading into the playoffs.
More significantly, RCB have the chance to finish in the top two. Currently third on the table, a win over LSG would take them to 19 points and guarantee a top-two position. Gujarat Titans (GT), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Mumbai Indians (MI) are the other teams in contention for the top four.
GT have already completed their league matches with 18 points, while PBKS and MI—on 17 and 16 points respectively—still have the chance to climb. A victory over LSG would not only secure RCB a top-two finish but also enhance their path to the final as they chase their first-ever IPL title.
