England bounced back in the final session taking three wickets. It was the spinners doing the job again. It was Jack Leach who broke the 162-run partnership by dismissing Rohit. Moeen Ali came back to dismiss Rahane as England took two wickets in a space of two runs. A DRS decision went in favour of Ajinkya Rahane just before the ball he was dismissed as Twitter was seen lashing out at third umpire Anil Chaudhary for committing an absolute howler despite sitting in front of the monitor.

Talking about Rohit Sharma’s knock, his wife Ritika was seen applauding the Mumbai boy’s century knock at Chepauk. Ritika along with her daughter are currently in Chennai since BCCI has allowed families to travel with the players during tours, a move which was prohibited in the early tours of the COVID-19 era with the biosecure bubble coming into play. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin’s wife Priti was also spotted at the stadium supporting the Indian team.
