Rohit Sharma surprised everyone on day 1 of the Brisbane Test match when he bowled medium-pace. In his career, Rohit has always been a handy bowler but he was only seen bowling traditional off-breaks. However, when Navdeep Saini went off the field due to a strain Rohit was asked to complete his over.

For just one delivery Rohit turned a seam bowler as he perfectly bowled a back of length delivery to Marnus Labuschagne. Such is the bouncy track at the ‘Gabba’ that even Rohit couldn’t resist his temptation and tried his hand at bowling medium pace.

The video of Rohit Sharma bowling soon went viral on Twitter and became an instant hit. It was a very rare sight to see Rohit bowling to 2 slips and gully but one that his devotees will never forget. The star Indian batsman will be keen to bat on the Brisbane as it is perfect for his style of batting where he can execute the cut and pull strokes.

Coming back to Navdeep Saini he was now gone for a scan which is a big worrying sign for team India. The visitors are already without Jasprit Bumrah and they will be hoping that it isn’t a serious injury for Saini and he can bowl on day 2 of the Test match.

Meanwhile, the third Test match between India and Australia is nicely poised with Australia 229 for 5. The Indian team have kept themselves in the game by picking wickets at regular intervals even with a very inexperienced bowling attack. After winning the toss Australia decided to bat first but lost their openers Marcus Harris and David Warner very early. Then the partnership between Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne steadied the ship for Australia.

Smith failed to capitalize his start but Labuschagne did not and scored his 6th Test match century. Team India managed to dismiss him soon after and are now looking to pick a few more wickets before the end of day 1 of the final Test.
