Team India vice-captain Rohit Sharma celebrated his 33rd birthday, yesterday. Several cricket players wished the star opening batsman on his birthday on social media. Rohit made sure that he replied to almost every birthday wishes from his fellow cricketers. Rohit who is known for being extremely funny off the field once again left everyone in splits.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who has played a lot of cricket with Rohit Sharma since the U-19 days took to Twitter to wish him on his birthday. In response, Rohit decided to give another example of his witty sense of humour; thus, trolling him badly.

Pujara tweeted, “Wish you a very happy birthday @ImRo45, hope you have a great year full of happiness, fun and good health”.

Rohit to this replied Pujara and commented “Thanks puji bro. Bhaag puji puji Bhaag”.  This delighted everyone and brought back memories of the famous incident that happened between the two. The two were batting against South Africa in a test match last year when Rohit didn’t hold back when Pujara refused a single. Rohit called Pujara for what seemed like a regulation single but he refused. A frustrated Rohit quickly made his crease and shouted “Bhaag puji B*******”.

This was hilarious and instantly became a meme on social media. It will be interesting to see if Pujara decides to reply to this or not. Rohit Sharma replied to many of his teammates who wished him on his birthday including Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane and plenty more.

Rohit Sharma is currently spending time with his family at home due to the lockdown imposed by the government due to COVID-19. Mumbai Indians who are led by Rohit Sharma are the defending champions of IPL. He was all set to lead his side and defend his title before the IPL was postponed.

In the end, Rohit thanked everyone who wished him on his birthday and wrote, “Hi guys thanks for all the wonderful wishes. It was a day of mixed emotions as we lost two of our cinema legends, all I can wish for is that life gets back to its new normal and we cherish our time with our loved ones”.
