With a lockdown in almost all parts of the globe amid the rise of the coronavirus pandemic, all outdoor activities have been shut. As a result, the cricketers are left with a lot of time and are utilising it by engaging on social media platforms alongside raising awareness.
Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, the swashbuckling opener from India Rohit Sharma had a live chat session with former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen. But after this, he got together with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for another live interaction with fans.
Chahal, who is known for his hilarious Chahal TV, posed some funny question to his India teammate. During the chat, Rohit Sharma opened up on various issues like how is spending his quarantine period. The Mumbai Indians skipper said that he is doing the household chores. He also jokingly said that doing household work has become his fitness routine now.
“I am trying my best to do household chores. I was talking to Kevin Pietersen about this. He messaged me at 12, I replied at 1:30. He asked me what was keeping me busy for 1 and a half hours during a lockdown. I told him I was cleaning the house,” Rohit Sharma said as quoted by India Today.
Furthermore, Rohit Sharma also opened the future of IPL 2020. The cricketer from Mumbai said it is important to come out of the current situation first and the fate of the league can only be decided once it is over.
“Can talk about IPL after India overcomes this crisis. We should first think about the country. The situation needs to get better first then we can talk about the IPL. Let life get back to normal first,” Rohit told Chahal.
