Rohit Sharma is known for scoring double centuries in ODI cricket. He is the only man in cricket history to score 3 double centuries in ODIs. Rohit scored his third double ton at Mohali against Sri Lanka in 2017. Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh was also in attendance for that match and witnessed her husband make yet another double century.
Rohit recalled his innings in which he slammed 208 runs off just 153 balls. The elegant batsman shared an interesting story involving his wife who saw his innings live. Rohit revealed that Ritika got emotional in that match after he reached 200 runs. The reason why she got emotional was due to the fact it was also their anniversary.

The cameras spotted wife Ritika getting teary-eyed when Rohit Sharma celebrated his double century. Rohit stated it was the best anniversary gift he could have ever given to his wife. Rohit said that while he was in the 190s his wife thought he had twisted his wrist while diving for a run.
Rohit said, “As you can see my wife got emotional there, this day was special as it was my anniversary. Probably the best gift I could give it to her while I am on the field, it was quite emotional though”.
“At first I had no idea she cried. When I came from the ground, I just asked Ritika why did you cry? So she told me that she thought I twisted my hand when I dived for my 196th run and that was a little worrying factor for her, she got little emotional of because of that I guess”, said Rohit in Episode 2 of the ‘Open nets with Mayank’ with Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan.
