The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were the most tweeted team during the 15th edition of the IPL on Twitter. RCB finished in 3rd position in the 2022 season in the league phase before losing to Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.
Bangalore has a massive fan base across the whole of India. RCB fans are very loyal to their team and they are very passionate about supporting RCB. On the other hand, Virat Kohli was the most tweeted player during the recent season of the Indian Premier League.
The former RCB captain didn’t have a good 2022 season. He had a batting average below 25 and a strike rate below 120 in IPL 2022. Still, cricket fans extended their support to Virat in these tough times.

MS Dhoni 2nd-most tweeted player during IPL 2022
The Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma occupied the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the list of most talked players during IPL 2022. Ravindra Jadeja who left CSK captaincy in mid-season gained a lot of limelight and found himself in fourth position here. While the 5th position was occupied by RCB captain Faf Du Plessis.
#IPL2022 was the most used hashtag during IPL 2022. Chennai Super Kings too have a massive fan base across India. CSK’s #whistlepodu and #yellowlove tags were the most used tags during IPL 2022 on Twitter after the #IPL2022 tag. RCB’s tags #playbold and #wearechallengers were the fourth and fifth most used tags respectively during IPL 2022.Â
