Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant recently held an Ask Me Anything session on his official social media account, where he answered several questions. When asked, Pant mentioned that Yuzvendra Chahal could have been an influencer if cricket didn’t exist.
Pant has not been included in the T20I squad for the upcoming series against England later this month. His inclusion in the ODI team is still pending. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old has made himself available for selection for Delhi in the upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra on January 23.
During the Ask Me Anything session on X, one fan asked Pant the following question:
“If cricket didn’t exist, which teammate would be most likely to become an influencer? #AskRP”
Rishabh Pant further replied:
“Isme bhi answer dena padega kya. Sabhi ko pata hi hai. Leg spinner hai bhaiya. Punjab se khelenge iss baar🤪 (Will I have to answer this one as well. Everyone knows it. He is a leg spinner, will be playing for Punjab this time)”

Pant’s response hinted that Yuzvendra Chahal was the answer to the question. Chahal was bought by the Punjab Kings at the auction for ₹18 crores, making him the joint fourth most expensive player, alongside Arshdeep Singh, who was also retained by the franchise using the RTM.
