Mohammad Amir isn’t a part of the ongoing test series against Australia. Youngsters were preferred over the veteran after his ‘not so great’ performances in the Asia cup matches.
In a show called Voice of cricket, the leftie Mohammad Amir shared his experience behind picking the prized wickets of Indian stars Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.
Mohammad Amir has been the primary reason behind India’s loss in the champions trophy final (2017) as he sent openers back to the hut in the initial overs. However, his initial efforts to dismiss skipper failed. But Amir came back in style in the very next delivery as Shadab took a stunner at the backward point.
Back in 2009, in his outing against India in the champions trophy, Mohammad Amir had dismissed Sachin after the legend nicked it to the keeper.
Mohammad Amir had no hesitation in admitting that Sachin’s wicket was his favourite as he took it in his early days at international cricket. Amir said that he was the youngest guy then in the side and the players really backed him to perform well.
It is to be noted that in both the games, Pakistan won the game by a good margin. While 2009 gave a glimpse of Malik’s class, the latter one was the assault led by Fakhar Zaman in his first game against India.
