Sania Mirza Reacts To Spectators Calling Shoaib Malik “Jija Ji” During IND vs PAK Clash

Tennis superstar Sania Mirza has reacted to the hilarious video which is going viral on social media after the IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2021 clash. In the video, a group of fans in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium can be seen calling her husband, Shoaib Malik “Jija Ji”. Malik was fielding near the boundary at that time and also looked towards the crowd when the chants became louder.

Sania found the video clip super-funny and also shared it on her Twitter profile with “Rolling on the floor laughing” and “heart” emojis.

Here is how Sania Mirza reacted:

It should be noted that Malik was not a part of the initial Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2021. The veteran was added to the team after middle-order batter Sohaib Maqsood got injured. While some opined that experience of Shoaib would bring value to the side, others believed that he has just been picked on the basis of reputation.

“Duniya Badal Gayi, Na Badla Shoaib Malik….”

Pakistani News Channel Samaa TV also give a tribute to Shoaib after he was included in the squad. The channel displayed various video clips and discussed the global changes that have taken place during Malik’s career.

“Nawaz Sharif went, Musharraf came, then Zardari, then Sharif again and now Imran Khan, but Shoaib Malik has not changed. 22 years ago when Shoaib Malik was on the pitch, Imran Khan had formed the PTI. After 22 years, he became the Prime Minister but something that has still not changed is Shoaib Malik. America came to Afghanistan, they left, Taliban’s reign has begun, but something that has not changed is Shoaib Malik.”

The narrator hilariously described how the price of petrol, mobile phones, the online world and various other things in the world have changed but Shoaib Malik playing cricket has remained constant. The video ended with another hilarious comparison in which the narrator explained how the left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has grown up watching Shoaib Malik and has now even played alongside him, but Shoaib is still present “on the crease”.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Pakistan registered their first victory against India in a world cup match. It was a convincing win for the “Men in green” as they hammered India by 10 wickets. Skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stitched a 152-run opening partnership and chased down the total with 2 overs to spare. Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was the hero of the match as his spell of 3/31 pushed India to the backfoot. He was also adjudged “Man of the Match” for his performance.
