Though India lost the semi-final game against the Kiwis, the role played by Ravindra Jadeja will remain in the memories of cricket fans for a long time. A three-dimensional performance from him, helped the side to give a fight till the penultimate over of the innings.

An economic spell, lighting moves on the field, a brisk 77 and what not. Even in the press conference, the skipper Virat Kohli applauded him by saying that his innings was one of those quality knocks to remember.

What deserves attention here is the intervention of Sanjay Manjarekar a few days ago. A week ago, Sanjay said that Jadeja is just a “bits and pieces” cricketer as he isn”t the primary choice in the limited overs format.

A furious Jadeja asked Manjarekar to respect the contributions made by everyone on the field and not to degrade the image of them through his “verbal diahorea”. That particular tweet went viral s several days backed Jadeja as they were left frustrated to the biased commentary of Manjarekar.

But after seeing his wonderful knock by Jadeja, Manjarekar couldn”t stop speaking a few words about him. First of all, he took his Twitter to handle and appreciated him with the words “Well done Jadeja”. Later, on an ICC show, he was seen saying that Jadeja proved his class on the field and completely shattered his expectations.

Even the wining kipper Kane Williamson admitted to the fact that Jadeja was the only player to cleanly hit the ball off the bat among both the sides. Whatever, Jadeja has done all the talking with his presence today and it will be interesting to see if he will now be a permanent part of the Indian limited overs side.
