The 13th season of Indian Premier League will mostly be remembered for some breathtaking catches and high-standards fielding. Sanju Samson lived up to the expectations taking a stunning catch in the square-leg boundary to dismiss Jonny Bairstow and put Rajasthan Royals and top.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have relied heavily upon their openers – David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. They have done the bulk of the scoring and their 100-run stand in the last game brought them back to the winning ways. Thus, it was in Rajasthan Royals plan to get an early breakthrough and Sanju Samson took a brilliant catch to remove Jonny Bairstow.

Warner and Bairstow started to look dangerous after getting their eyes in. But the 19-year-old Kartik Tyagi, in his first over, struck the big fish to put his side on top in Dubai. It was a smart catch from Sanju Samson to send back dangerous Bairstow back in the hut.

Sanju Samson takes a stunning catch

It was slightly back of a length delivery around off and Jonny Bairstow looked to force it away over the on-side. It hit the bat hard and lobbed high and over square leg. Sanju Samson dashed across to his left at deep backward square, kept his eyes on the ball and slid across to make a stunning catch.

The wicket-keeper batsman went with both hands and pouched it safely. Samson, who has had below-par returns in IPL 2020 with the bat has stood out on the field with some extraordinary catches.

Since then, David Warner has looked completely in control of things alongside Manish Pandey. They have mainly focused on the ones and twos while the boundaries kept coming. Warner now holds the key for Sunrisers Hyderabad and will have to bat till the very end.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals will be desperate to break the partnership and make some inroads in the game.
