[WATCH] Sara Tendulkar’s Reaction Goes Viral After Shubman Gill’s LBW Dismissal In Hobart

Sara Tendulkar, daughter of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, was seen in the stands during the third T20I between India and Australia at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Sunday. The match saw India bounce back strongly after trailing 0-1 in the five-match series, with Washington Sundar’s brilliant all-round performance guiding the visitors to victory.

Sundar played an unbeaten 49 off just 23 balls, helping India chase down 187 with nine deliveries remaining. However, while India celebrated their win, the form of vice-captain Shubman Gill remained a concern as he once again failed to deliver with the bat.

Gill’s Dismissal And Sara’s Reaction Draw Attention

During India’s chase, Shubman Gill was dismissed for 15 off 12 balls after being trapped leg-before-wicket by Australian pacer Nathan Ellis on the final ball of the powerplay. The young opener’s decision to review the on-field umpire’s call added to the drama, but replays confirmed that the ball was crashing into the leg stump.

As Gill walked back to the pavilion, the camera captured Sara Tendulkar’s curious reaction from the stands, which quickly went viral on social media. Earlier in the innings, Gill had flicked Ellis for a stylish boundary, drawing a cheerful smile from Sara as the cameras focused on her once again. Despite these light moments, the right-hander’s continued struggles in T20Is have become a talking point, with his recent scores on the tour being 10, 9, 24, 37*, and 5 before the Hobart game.

Sundar Shines As India Levels the Series

While Gill’s form raised concerns, Washington Sundar’s explosive innings turned the match in India’s favour. His 49 not out came off just 23 balls and included crisp boundaries that powered India past the finish line. On the bowling front, Arshdeep Singh starred with figures of 3/35 from his four overs, while Varun Chakaravarthy contributed with 2/33 and Shivam Dube claimed one wicket for 43 runs.

For Australia, Ellis was the standout performer with 3/36, supported by Bartlett and Stoinis, who took one wicket each. Earlier, half-centuries from Tim David and Marcus Stoinis helped Australia post a challenging 186/6 after India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to field. With the series now level at 1-1, the final two T20Is are set to take place in Gold Coast and Brisbane on Thursday and Saturday, promising more high-voltage cricket between the two sides.
