The star leg spinner proved its worth by picking 3 for 22 from 4 overs against Mumbai Indians Cape Town that was played at Newlands, Cape Town on 23rd January 2024. After posting 157 for 6 in 20 overs, Durban Super Giants bowlers kept tight lines and lengths not allowing Mumbai Indians Cape Town batters to score runs easily.

Noor Ahmad made his T20I debut for Afghanistan on 14th June 2022. Since then, he played a total of 4 T20Is (3 innings) and took a total of 4 wickets at an economy of 7.0 runs per over including best figures of 4 for 10 on his debut. He was taken to the cleaners by Jaiswal and Dube in the second T20I at Indore.
The left-arm leg spinner made his IPL debut for Gujarat Giants against Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 16th April 2023. He played a total of 13 IPL matches (13 innings) at an economy of 7.82 runs per over including best figures of 3 for 37. Noor was the best bowler for Gujarat Titans in the finals of the 2023 edition against Chennai Super Kings where he grabbed 2 for 17 as CSK registered a thrilling last-ball win.
