Former New Zealand Pacer Shane Bond has hailed Mumbai Indians speedster Jasprit Bumrah as one of the best fast bowlers in the World. This statement coming from a man who has represented New Zealand in 83 ODIs and 18 Tests. During his prime, Shane Bond was considered to be one of the most lethal and deadly bowlers in World Cricket at that point of time.

As of today, Shane Bond is a part of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians coaching staff as the Bowling Coach. He’s been a part of the four-time IPL winners side for over six years now. Working with some of the very best cogs of fast bowlers in world cricket, the former Kiwi fast bowler feels Bumrah is one of the best in the world.

I Always Loved Working With Jasprit Bumrah – Shane Bond

Recently, Mumbai Indians posted a video on their social media page where we could see Bowling Coach Shane Bond conversing with pace bowler Trent Boult. Bond said that its always been really fun and has always loved working with Jasprit Bumrah. He explicitly spoke about one good quality of Bumrah being his willingness to improve day by day.

“It`s been really fun and I always loved working with Bumrah. Six years now. The thing I like about Jasprit is his willingness to want to improve. He has turned up the series, got another different ball,” Shane Bond said in a video posted on Mumbai Indians` Twitter.

Shane Bond further added how that one quality of Jasprit Bumrah makes things better for him as a coach since if a player is so self-motivated and wants to improve as the day progresses.

“When you are seeing it from a player, who is self-motivated, doing things in the background to make themselves better. Then there is no surprise to me that he`s one of the best fast bowlers in the world,” he added.
