Shikhar Dhawan Enters The ‘Cricket Metaverse’; Announces His NFT Collection

Indian Opener Shikhar Dhawan is the latest player to launch his NFT Collection. NFT (Non-fungible Token) is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger (blockchain). It is mostly associated with reproducible digital files like photos, videos, and audio.


Dhawan took to his official twitter handle to make this announcement. Apart from Dhawan His opening partner in the team Rohit Sharma, And sixer King Yuvraj Singh have also launched their NFT Collection. The launch of NFTs provides hard-core cricket fans with an opportunity to possess digital assets consisting of their favorite players’ most iconic moments.


Shikhar Dhawan Picked for 3 Match ODIs Series

Team India is set to lock horns against South Africa for a 3 match ODI series starting on January 19. This is the first ODI Series For Rahul Dravid As full-time head coach. The Series is important as team India look to build a strong squad for the 2023 ODI WC in India.

Opening batter Kl Rahul Has been named the captain of the team in place of Rohit who Misses out due to hamstring issues. Shikhar Dhawan who is currently out of form finds a place in the squad. The Delhi-born opener has been struggling for form in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy as he failed to make any big scores.

The 3 match ODI series is part of the ODI Super league. Paarl will host the first two ODIs while The Newlands Stadium in Cape Town will host the 3rd ODI on January 23. All matches will start at 2 pm IST.
