Shreyas Iyer showcased his exceptional batting prowess during Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) 11-run victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) in their IPL 2025 match on March 25. Iyer remained unbeaten with a stellar 97 off 42 balls, an innings highlighted by nine sixes and five fours.

His partnership with Shashank Singh, who scored 44 not out off 16 balls, propelled Punjab Kings to a formidable total of 243/5. This performance not only led his team to victory but also earned Iyer the Player of the Match award.

PBKS stun GT with 11-Run Victory in thrilling IPL 2025 clash

Skipper Shreyas Iyer led by example with a blistering 97* off 42 balls, guiding Punjab Kings to an 11-run victory over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Punjab began their campaign on a high note, posting a formidable 243/5 in 20 overs after being put in to bat.

Debutant Priyansh Arya provided a quick start, scoring 47 off 23 balls, while Shashank Singh’s explosive 44 not out from 16 balls in the final overs bolstered the total. Glenn Maxwell, however, was dismissed for a first-ball duck, marking his 19th in IPL history. For GT, Sai Kishore was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 30 runs.

Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 74 runs, supported by Jos Buttler’s 54 and Sherfane Rutherford’s brisk 46. Shubman Gill contributed 33 runs before being dismissed by Glenn Maxwell. Arshdeep Singh was instrumental with the ball for PBKS, taking 2 wickets for 36 runs

Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) next match in the IPL 2025 season is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 7:30 PM IST. They will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
