The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is off to a rollicking start in the UAE. A string of young Indian cricketers have hogged the limelight with their special performances. Recently, talented cricketer Smriti Mandhana picked her favourite player who made her fell in love Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan got off to a brilliant start until they lost their third game against Kolkata Knight Riders last night. A couple of players have stood out for the Royals; namely Sanju Samson, Rahul Tewatia, and Jofra Archer. With Steve Smith at the helm of things, Rajasthan Royals have delivered the goods.

Despite their loss, RR remain one of the top teams in the tournament sitting in the third spot with four points from three games. In a recent chat with India Today, Smriti Mandhana has admitted that she is a huge fan of Sanju Samson. So much so, that it had made her support the Royals in IPL 2020.

“The way young guys are batting is very inspirational to see. I think Sanju Samson, the way he is batting I have just become a huge fan of him. I have started supporting RR because of him. The way he is batting is crazy, next-level batting. I am thinking to learn from everyone who is batting and bowling well,” she told India Today.

Speaking further, Smriti Mandhana added she also likes watching the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, and MS Dhoni bat. Locked at home with no matches at present, Mandhana also revealed that she is watching all the games in IPL 2020.

“I am watching all the matches. I am quite biased with all the players and I have not got one team to support. I am not being diplomatic; I actually don’t have one team to support. I am supporting Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni,” Mandhana added. 

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana will be back in action during the Women’s T20 Challenge starting from November 4 in Sharjah.
