
South Africa have revealed their squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against India. Following the ongoing two-match Test series, the focus will shift to the limited-overs formats. The Proteas have selected full-strength squads for both tours, with Temba Bavuma leading the ODI team alongside his role as Test captain, while Aiden Markram will captain the T20I side.
The series will kick off with a three-match ODI contest starting on November 30, followed by a five-match T20I series beginning on December 9.

ODI Squad – Temba Bavuma (C), Ottneil Baartman, Matthew Breetzke, Corbin Bosch, Dewald Brevis, Nandre Burger, Quinton De Kock, Tony De Zorzi, Rubin Hermann, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Prenelan Subrayen, Lungi Ngidi.
T20I Squad – Aiden Markram (C), Ottneil Baartman, Dewald Brevis, Corbin Bosch, Quinton De Kock, Tony De Zorzi, Donovan Ferreira, Reeza Hendricks, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen, George Linde, Keshav Maharaj, Kwena Mphaka, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje.
South Africa will notably be without Kagiso Rabada for the white-ball tour, as he continues to recover from injury and missed the first Test, with his participation in the second Test also ruled out. Pacer Anrich Nortje returns to the squad, while Mumbai Indians’ (MI) Ryan Rickelton has been left out of the T20I team.
The three ODIs are scheduled to take place in Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam, while the five T20Is will be held across Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.
What happened during South Africa’s last ODI and T20I tour of India?
South Africa last toured India for an ODI and T20I series in 2022/23, with both formats featuring three matches each. In the ODI series, India won 2-1. The Proteas claimed the first ODI by nine runs, but India bounced back strongly, winning the next two matches by seven wickets each to clinch the series.
In the T20I series, India secured the title with a 2-0 lead, winning the opening game by eight wickets and the second by 16 runs. South Africa managed a consolation win in the final T20I, beating India by 49 runs, but the series still went 2-1 in favour of the Men in Blue. On this tour, South Africa will aim for a stronger showing in the white-ball formats.
