With the Test series done and dusted, the caravan shifts to the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa, starting January 19 in Paarl. Having lost the Test series, the Men in Blues will look to bounce back and come all guns blazing against the Proteas.
The ODIs will see KL Rahul lead a young Indian brigade in the absence of newly appointed Rohit Sharma, who is out with an injury. The spotlight will be on Ruturaj Gaikwad and Venkatesh Iyer, who are relatively new to the international arena and are looking to set their footing.
On the other hand, South Africa will be captained by Temba Bavuma. Former U-19 captain Wayne Parnell has returned to the Proteas squad and will be eyeing to make a mark.
