In a shocking news, fast bowler S Sreesanth, who recently made a comeback to competitive cricket, has failed to make it to the final player’s list for IPL 2021 auction. Reacting to the same, the animated pacer said he is not demotivated and will work harder to make a strong comeback.

BCCI, on February 11(Thursday), released a list of 292 players out of 1194 cricketers, who will go under the hammer during IPL 2021 auction on February 18 in Chennai. However, the 38-year-old failed to make the cut after franchises didn’t show any interest to buy the cricketer.

I will wait for some more time – Sreesanth

Sreesanth returned to competitive cricket in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for his state side Kerala. He had a mixed outing and was looking forward to the upcoming IPL. However, reacting on the same, Sreesanth said that he isn’t demotivated and will work harder to come back stronger.

“I want to say I am absolutely fine and grateful to this lovely life. I am thankful to all the support you have been showing. Honestly, though I would be there (in the auction list) but I have to work really hard. If I could wait for eight years, I will wait some more time,” Sreesanth said in the video.

“It was honestly disappointing not to make the cut but I am really alright. If I can wait 8 years to make a comeback into cricket, I can wait for some more time. No more sympathies are needed because guys I am absolutely happy,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sreesanth will be next seen in action during the Vijay Hazare Trophy which will start from February 20 across six cities. Kerala are in Elite Group C and are placed alongside Bihar, Karnataka, Odisha, Railways, and Uttar Pradesh. Sreesanth will look to make a bigger impact with his goal of making a comeback to the Indian side.
