After losing the first T20I, the Sri Lankan team made a fine comeback in the series by beating India by four wickets in the second t20I. The series is now leveled at 1-1. The Sri Lankan batters held their nerves on a difficult batting wicket to chase down the target of 133. Minod Bhanuka (31-ball 36) and Dhananjaya De Silva (34-ball 40) played sensible knocks to take Sri Lanka home.

Meanwhile, after Krunal Pandya tested positive for the covid-19 virus the Indian team was forced to play a depleted attack. The likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Rana, and Chetan Sakariya made their T20I debuts for India. Batting first, except Shikhar Dhawan, the rest of the Indian batting struggled to go beyond the 30-runs mark. The bowling attack tried to pull things back in India’s favour in the second innings, but the Sri Lankans got the better of them.

Talking about the Third T20I, India may have to make a forced change as Navdeep Saini injured himself in the last T20I. As the series heads into the decider, both the teams will be raring to go past the final hurdle. All in all the third T20I promises to be another thrilling encounter.
