Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina who pulled out of IPL 2020, has confirmed his participation in IPL 2021. He will be returning to domestic cricket where he will be leading Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy next season. The BCCI is yet to announce the schedule of the 2020/21 season but it is confirmed that the board will be organising the T20 tournament before the IPL auction.
Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh both pulled out from IPL 2020 due to personal reasons. The CSK CEO then said to the media that their contracts might be terminated ahead of next season.
Suresh Raina To Play in IPL 2021
Meanwhile, speaking to Dainik Jagaran, Raina confirmed his participation in the next IPL season. Raina has not played any competitive cricket since IPL 2019. With him pulling out of IPL 2020, he will make a comeback to cricket almost after two years.

Meanwhile, the BCCI will be finalising the dates of restarting their domestic season and IPL 2021 after its AGM on December 24. The white-ball season should end in February, while if the Rani Trophy is played, it might carry on till March.
The BCCI promised to stage the next IPL season in April-May. BCCI hopes to stage the league in India but it will only be possible if the situation remains under control.
Meanwhile, the CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan has also confirmed that MS Dhoni will lead the side in the next IPL season.
“Yes, definitely. I am very confident that Dhoni will lead CSK in 2021. He has won three titles for us in the IPL. This is the first year we have not qualified for the playoffs. No other team has done that. One bad year does not mean we will have to change everything,” Viswanathan told The Times of India.
