CSK CEO Confirms They Won’t Announce A Replacement For Dwayne Bravo

CSK Ceo Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that Chennai Super Kings won’t look for a replacement if Dwayne Bravo is ruled out of the remainder of the season. Dwayne Bravo has been battling through injuries ever since the IPL began, he didn’t feature in the first few games for CSK this season as he was recovering from a prior injury.

Then after about 4 matches, Dwayne Bravo was finally included in the playing XI as he was expected to the death over the bowler for Chennai Super Kings. Though he didn’t have the ideal season this year as he’s failed to pick up wickets in key intervals of the game which has cost indirectly cost the franchise.

Yesterday during the match against Delhi Capitals, Dwayne Bravo again sustained an injury during the game which resulted in him going off the field. Bravo’s injury also meant Ravindra Jadeja had to bowl the penultimate final over when Delhi Capital needed 18 off the final over.

Dwayne Bravo’s Replacement not an option at this stage: CSK CEO

Recently CSK CEO Kasi Vishvanath has delivered an update saying that Chennai Super Kings won’t look for a replacement if Dwayne Bravo is ruled out. Since it doesn’t make any sense to bring a new player in halfway through the tournament.

Then again that player will have to undergo quarantine period before joining the squad, which is why CSK won’t look to replace Dwayne Bravo if he’s ruled out.

“I don’t think a replacement is an option at this stage because if a new person comes in, it will again be about having a quarantine period for him before he can join the rest of the squad. It is unlikely that we will look at a replacement for Bravo if he is out. But firstly we are hoping Bravo isn’t out and the injury isn’t major,” he told ANI.

Chennai Super Kings play Rajasthan Royals in an all-important game next on October 19 (Monday).
