Suryakumar Yadav was dropped from the playing XI to accommodate Rohit Sharma as India are set to bat first in the third T20I against England at the Motera. Surya made his T20I debut in the second game but did not get his opportunity to bat. Meanwhile, Rohit has made a return into the side after being rested for the first two games. The team management has decided to give a long rope to KL Rahul after he missed out on scoring in the first two games. 

With Team India treating this series as a dress rehearsal for the World T20 later this year, they are making every experiment possible in their quest to select the ideal combination for the mega event The picking and choosing of the players are just part of the process. Surrakumar Yadav being benched to accommodate Rohit Sharma is the only change that the team has made for this game.

The series is level at 1-all and both teams have won eight matches each among the 16 played. The BCCI has named a pretty young squad and ones who have performed in the IPL consistently well in the last couple of years. Suryakumar Yadav finally earned his maiden India call-up after consistent performances in domestic cricket and the IPL. The BCCI has also included players like Ishan Kishan, Rahul Tewatia who also performed well for their respective franchises. 

Suryakumar Yadav dropped without being given a chance to bat has irked Indian cricket fans and experts alike. They have not been shy of sharing their opinion regarding the same as well on Twitter.

Meanwhile, India lost the series opener and came back in the second game both in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Speaking to Cricbuzz Live, Virender Sehwag targeted Kohli saying that Rohit Sharma will be on a break for the first two games but does the same rule apply to the skipper himself.
