Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels Team India batter Suryakumar Yadav should work with the batting coach, Vikram Rathour to address his batting troubles. He opined that the right-handed batter has technical difficulties, and needs to sort them out. Suryakumar Yadav has had a dismal run in the ongoing ODI series against Australia.

The 32-year-old got a chance as Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the series due to an injury. However, so far, he hasn’t been able to grab the opportunity well. He has been dismissed for consecutive ducks in the first two ODIs against Australia. Speaking about Suryakumar Yadav’s form to Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar said,

“He is facing technical difficulties. Also, his stance is an open one. It is good for T20 cricket because, for any delivery that is overpitched, he can flick it for a six. But here, when the ball is placed right near the foot, with this stance, the bat will definitely come across. It cannot come straight. Hence, if the ball turns inside, he will face difficulty. He needs to spend time with the batting coach on how to come out of this.”

Australia makes a roaring comeback to win the second ODI by 10 wickets against India
