Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler T Natarajan was ruled out of the IPL due to a knee injury. Natarajan who was called the find of the tournament last season was expected to be instrumental for SRH this year. The fast bowler said he was sad to miss this season and also wished his side good luck.

T Natarajan played an integral role in Sunrisers Hyderabad reaching the playoffs. He was called the yorker king because of his ability to bowl searing yorkers at will. He took 16 wickets in as many matches. In the 2021 season, he only managed to pick up two wickets and now has been ruled out.

T Natarajan said he feels sad to miss the remaining matches in IPL 2021 as he had high expectations from himself, having played well last year and making his India debut. He had to undergo knee surgery. He thanked the SRH management and players for their support and motivation.

“I’m sad to miss the remaining games this season. Since I played well last season and went on to play for India, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I have to undergo knee surgery and will miss my season. Thank you SRH family, support staff and players. They supported and motivated me a lot. I’m going to miss the SRH family this season. I have no words to say right now. I wish SunRisers go out and win every game. Best wishes,” Natarajan said in a video posted by SRH’s official Twitter handle.

David Warner spoke about T Natarajan

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner revealed that T Natarajan has got a sore knee and has to sit out for seven days if he travels out of the bubble to undergo a scan. Warner highlighted that the medical professionals are doing their best to monitor him now; however, he felt that the seamer has to get a scan at some point.

He has obviously got a sore knee. Given the circumstances in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he obviously has to sit out for seven days. He has to get back in quarantine. We are just monitoring him at the moment. The physios are doing their best to analyse from a face point of view but he obviously has to go out and get a scan at some point,” Warner said.

Sunrisers Hyderabad who won their first match this season against the Punjab Kings will be seen in action against Delhi Capitals on Sunday.
