Nicholas Pooran will get some confidence after taking a fine catch at deep extra cover. The explosive batsman so far has had a very disappointing IPL 2021 season with the bat. He had come in the season with a serious reputation of a match-winner. However, he has failed miserably and so far scored 3 ducks for Punjab Kings.
Nevertheless, he will be now keen to contribute with the bat as well after he made an impact in the field. Pooran plucked a splendid catch during the death overs of the Mumbai Indians innings. In the end overs, Krunal Pandya was looking to accelerate and take his side to a total near 140 runs which is match-winning in Chennai.
Nicholas Pooran Takes A Splendid Diving Catch
Krunal Pandya made room and was trying to clear Pooran who was stationed at the boundary on the offside. The bowler Shami was clever and bowled a back of a length delivery which Krunal mistimed towards Pooran.
He sensed a catching opportunity and was quick of the blocks. When Pooran realised he would need to dive to complete the catch he executed a full stretched dive. The ball settled in his hands as Pooran completed a fine catch much to his delight. Pooran put his body on the line and held onto a brilliant catch.

Nicholas Pooran was elated after taking the catch and even celebrated in style. Krunal was disappointed as he could only score 3 from 3 balls. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians posted a total of 131 runs after 20 overs. Rohit Sharma led from the front and top-scored with 63 in 52 balls and gave his side’s total some respectability.
