Watch – T Natarajan Provides A Breakthrough After Wriddhiman Saha Holds On To A Catch In Second Attempt

Sunrisers Hyderabad Wriddhiman Saha held onto a brilliant catch as they found a much-needed breakthrough in the ongoing IPL 2021 game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Kolkata are in the driver’s seat after a brilliant batting show from Nitish Rana with support from Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi.

Meanwhile, asked to bat first, Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana got Kolkata Knight Riders off to a blazing start. They added 53 runs for the first wicket to set the platform for the batters to follow before Sunrisers Hyderabad drew the first blood. Rashid Khan deceived Gill with a googly to unrattle his timber which brought Rahul Tripathi in the middle.

Rahul and Rana went all guns blazing against the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers. They added 93 runs for the 2nd wicket hitting the Hyderabad bowlers all over the park. Rana was the aggressor of the two bringing his fifty before Rahul Tripathi followed his partner. The duo looked to up the ante and in the process, Tripathi got out thanks to a brilliant catch from Wriddhiman Saha.

Wriddhiman Saha takes a juggling catch

It was an off-cutter from T Natarajan smartly and he managed to take it across Rahul Tripathi who was clearly been targetting cow corner with his slogs for a while now. This time he was early into his shot, quite what full-blooded heaves do to you, and only gets a top-edge. Wriddhiman Saha ran backward and completed the catch in the 2nd attempt. There was a moment of doubt at one point but no, he is Saha and he is safe.
