Virat Kohli was back to his brilliant best as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stunned table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Wankhede Stadium. Speaking at the end of the game, Kohli jokingly said that Mumbai Indians (MI) will have two more supporters on Saturday during their game against Delhi Capitals (DC).

Incidentally, if Mumbai manage to beat the Capitals, Bangalore to progress through to the playoffs. On the other hand, a win for Delhi in their final group game on Saturday will see them progress through to the playoffs. Both teams will end up on 16 points if DC win but they have a much superior Net Run Rate.

During a conversation with Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli jokingly said that they will completely support Mumbai Indians on Saturday. They also hilariously promised to remain present at the stands to show support to Rohit Sharma and Co.

“There are two more supporters for Mumbai for their game in Saturday. Not just two, maybe 25 more in our camp hoping for them to get the win against the Delhi Capitals,” Kohli said.

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis in the background was seen shouting the Mumbai chant and is hopeful that Rohit Sharma and Co. will manage to beat Delhi and pave way for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

“That opening partnership set us on the right track” – Virat Kohli on Faf du Plessis

In an interview done by the IPL, Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli were seen discussing the match and the knock played by the former skipper. The RCB star highlighted that batting with the Proteas batter has been a delightful experience this season.

“For me, the best part about batting together (with Faf) or opening the innings has been the experience that we have shared out there in the middle and applying those individual experiences for the team’s cause. We were able to give the team that start which we have done in a lot of the games and something that I feel really proud about. Today again, that opening partnership set us on the right track, my contribution along with Faf’s contribution and that’s the only thing we think about,” Kohli added.
