Tom Banton goes berserk smashes Arjun Nair for 5 consecutive sixes in BBL

In the ongoing Big Bash League, the 21 year old English Batsman, Tom Banton hit five consecutive sixes of Sydney Thunders bowler Arjun Nair.

In a rain affected game between Brisbane Heats and Sydney Thunders at the Sydney Showground Stadium. Brisbane Heats won the toss and elected to bat.

Tom Banton opened the innings alongside Chris Lynn where Lynn looked to play the aggressor as he scored 31 off 13 balls after a great partnership with the Englishman.

In the fourth over, thunders captain Callum Ferguson gave the bowl to spinner Arjun Nair, who was hit for five consecutive sixes in the over.

Banton favored the mid-wicket region against Nair as he hit four out off the five sixes in that area. Banton also completed his fifty in just 16 balls becoming the second quickest cricketer to score a half-century in the history of Big Bash League.

The first position has the undisputed king Chris Gayle who scored 50 off 12 balls in the Big Bash league to become the fastes cricketer to score a half century alongside Indian Yuvraj Singh.

Chris Gayle scored the 50 off 12 boys for Melbourne Renegades agaist the Adelaide Strikers.

Tom Banton has been impressive in the past one year , he was also the part of the English U19 team in the 2018 U19 world cup .After a very impressive show in the Vitality T20 Blast for the Somerset county team the young opening batsman got a chance to make his senior team debut for England against New Zealand for the T20 series.

He was also in the auction pool for the cash rich Indian Premier League, where he he was bought by Shah Rukh Khan”s Kolkata Knight Riders for a base price of 1 crore .

Banton”s impressive form shows he would be a great investment for the English team , if groomed well he would be England”s next superstar.
