Babar had a minimal role in the field, with the Pakistani batter contributing nothing on the ground. He wasn’t involved in any catches or run outs, while South Africa posted a sizable total. Babar faced a couple of deliveries, which were the final balls of the first and second overs.
He received a delivery from Kwena Maphaka before attempting to ramp it over deep third. That marked the end of Babar’s time at the crease as the ball was caught by the fielder positioned there.

After Babar Azam, Saim Ayub (31 off 15) came to the crease and played a solid innings before Andile Simelane dismissed him. Pakistan then lost Usman Khan (9 off 8), leaving them at 93/3 after 12 overs.
Earlier, South Africa set a target of 183/9, with David Miller (82 off 40) and George Linde (48 off 24) contributing strong performances. Shaheen Shah Afridi (3/22) and Abrar Ahmed (3/37) were the top bowlers for Pakistan, who managed to limit the Proteas’ total.
