England pacer James Anderson has made India and England fans go at war on Twitter. The debate is based on Anderson’s recent trip to India when England played a Test series against India before the IPL. Anderson took just 8 wickets from three games as England lost the Test series 3-1. Anderson will have another taken to increase his tally of wickets when England hosts India in August this year.

Meanwhile, The Barmy Army posted a video of Anderson making the ball do the talk during his recent visit to Chennai for the Test series on a dusty wicket. Seeing this a few Indians termed England pace legend Jimmy Anderson as ‘Clouderson’, stressing on the fact that the seamer only does well in overcast conditions on seam-friendly tracks, England’s Barmy Army hit back.

They shared a video of Anderson dismissing Ajinkya Rahane and Shubman Gill with their stumps cartwheeling across.

Watching the video, one of the Indian Twitter user replied him back with a video of Rishabh Pant reverse sweeping James Anderson for a six. The twitter battles between both sections of fans has all the more fuelled the rivalry.

Having lost the Test series in India, England will be eagerly willing to take revenge and thus might prepare wickets with seam and swing. Team India will be playing the final of the World Test Championship in Southampton from June 18-22. Then they are scheduled to play against Sri Lanka for three ODIs and five T20Is. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will be playing 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against Eoin Morgan’s side in England and the tour comes to an end on July 4. Meanwhile, the test series between India and England also starts from August 4.

The BCCI has picked a 20-man squad for the tour that will also see them play New Zealand in the World Test Championship final in June. The players will then have a brief period of rest in England itself before they start preparations for the 5-match Test series.
