The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai witnessed a rollback in years when Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag walked out to bat against West Indies Legends in the lung-opener of Road Safety World Series. The entire crowd shouted their heart out when the duo dominated the proceeding on a Saturday night.
The last time when Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag came out to bat was during the 2011 World Cup final on April 2 when India defeated Sri Lanka to lift the trophy after a long gap of 28 years. The duo used to belt the bowlers during their prime days and they did it once again putting the West Indies bowlers on the backfoot adding 83 runs for the first wicket.

Sehwag knocked 74 runs including 11 boundaries playing all the shots in the book, including the traditional late cut, while Tendulkar executed drives, uppercuts and stepped out to spinners, something he did all through his illustrious career during his 37 runs knock. The Nawab of Nazafgarh remained unbeaten to chase down the target convincingly.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, West Indies Legends were off to a great start with Daren Ganga and Shivnarine Chanderpaul stitching a 40-run partnership for the opening wicket. Captain Brian Lara came to bat at No. 3 and played a couple of delightful strokes before departing for 17. Chanderpaul slammed 61 runs off just 41 balls whereas, Tino Best played an entertaining cameo of 11 not-out off five balls to take his side to 150 which was not enough to win the match.

Honest confession, not for RTs, watching Sachin and Sehwag gives same feel. Sachin still placing the shot like he used to, and Sehwag attacking. Of course they won’t forget their game. But still.. Feels good! *breaks down*

•Sehwag opening his account with a FOUR
•Sachin showing his class & elegance
•Sehwag continuing his destruction
•Both together destroying opponents & almost sealing the game•Good old days! Reminds me of when ICT had Indian Team fans, and not any particular player’s fandom.
