Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the greatest Indian cricketers and captain to have played this game.
MS always comes across a fine gentleman on the field, with his cool and calm nature Dhoni likes to tackle most situations of a match. One of the rare sights in the game is Dhoni losing his cool.
Very rarely you see this side of Dhoni, and this side of him going by the past comes out more frequently when it is either a fielder giving away extra runs or on missing out on crucial runs while running. Dhoni doesn”t like the words such as hate or hatred, but he absolutely cringes on giving away an extra inch in the form of runs missed out while fielding and running, to the opponent.
And so one such occasion came during the 2nd T20 international yesterday between India and Southafrica. While batting with Manish Pandey, Dhoni was playing one of his most fluent innings in recent times. He was probably in a very good mood but then something really dramatic happened, Manish Pandey tapped the ball on the leg side and Dhoni definitely thought there was a two on, but Manish just went through for a single.
Dhoni took some seconds, adjusted his gloves and looked at Pandey with anger as he wasn”t looking at him still. He turned up with some Indian abuses for Manish Pandey in the few moments after that. He said “oyeee..oyeeeee,Bh#$@!ke idhar dekh le..Wahan khaan dekh rha hai..”. This was really intense from Dhoni, his angry side which is very..very rarely seen.
Maybe slightly unfair as Manish Pandey was also playing a terrific inning and he is at a stage in his carrier where he needs all the confidence that he can get, especially from someone like Dhoni.
But it all came across very funnily in the end especially to the Twitterati, who wasted no time in having a dig at the moment.
